About
I did a lot of doodling and drawing when I was in grade school and frequently completed art assignments for kids who didn’t like to draw. (Clouds were my specialty.) I started painting at a young age in my basement (when oil paints were pretty cheap) and my realistic style of painting gave way to abstract many years later. It was a transition from painting what I saw in reality to painting what I saw in my mind. Later, I moved to New York and started doing pen and ink sketches of the fascinating daily life, and illustrated a children’s book (never published). I was part of a group show in a lower Manhattan gallery. In L.A. where I presently live, I’ve been in several group shows at local galleries and I continue to do sketches of daily life. Tho it is a little quieter here, I enjoy sketching locals at the coffee shop in the mornings.
